Miflora began with the herbal scents of my childhood.
I grew up in a rural China where plants were part of everyday life. My grandfather knew herbs deeply—their seasons, textures, and natural aromas. During humid summers, when insects were everywhere, he would crush aromatic herbs and place them near doors and windows, or gently rub the scent onto our clothes to help keep insects away.
In the evenings, he would prepare warm baths with crushed herbs and flowers. The soft floral-herbal scent would linger on the skin, leaving us feeling fresh, clear, and gently renewed. These small rituals taught me to notice the beauty of plants—their scent, color, texture, and the quiet comfort they can bring.
These experiences sparked my interest in traditional Chinese herbal culture. Chinese incense culture has a history of over 5,000 years, carrying wisdom about living in harmony with nature. Reading texts like Compendium of Materia Medica, I discovered not only detailed knowledge of plants but also subtle lessons in balance—how different herbs relate to each other, their seasonal characteristics, and the harmony of their scents.
As I grew older, my love for herbs naturally merged with my passion for handcrafting. I began making bracelets with herbal scent beads, natural materials, turning the scents and experiences of my childhood into wearable pieces.
Miflora is my way of bringing those memories into modern daily life—a handmade herbal scent bracelet brand inspired by Chinese culture, designed to be worn close to the skin and carried gently throughout the day.
