The Auspicious Cloud and Lotus molds are designed for makers who want more sculptural detail and artistic character in their finished incense beads.

The Auspicious Cloud design features flowing, curved lines that create a graceful sense of movement. The Lotus design forms a softly layered floral shape inspired by elegance, calm, and natural beauty.

When paired with Miflora botanical incense blends, these molds create distinctive beads for bracelets, pendants, wearable fragrance charms, and other handmade jewelry pieces.

Because these designs contain more surface detail, carefully pressing the incense paste into every part of the mold will help produce a clearer finished pattern.

📏 Finished Bead Size & Natural Shrinkage

Because handmade incense beads naturally lose moisture while air-drying, the finished beads will usually be smaller than the mold size.

In most cases, the final bead diameter may be approximately 1~2 mm smaller than the mold. For example, beads shaped with a 10 mm mold may dry to around 7–8 mm.

For this reason, we recommend choosing a mold that is approximately 2–3 mm larger than your preferred finished bead size.

🌿 What Affects Shrinkage?

The exact amount of shrinkage can vary depending on:

* The amount of water added
* The texture and absorbency of the botanical powder
* How thoroughly the incense paste is kneaded
* The drying temperature and humidity
* The shape and surface details of the bead

A wetter mixture, highly absorbent botanical ingredients, or overly rapid drying may cause more noticeable shrinkage.

Thorough kneading helps remove trapped air from the incense paste and may support a more even, stable finished shape. Smooth round beads and patterned beads may also shrink at slightly different rates.
